The pastoral care team provides meals for parishioners who have been ill or had surgery. Soup and bread are also delivered to parishioners who need a little TLC. The team also visits people who are about to have surgery and offers prayers for them. If you like to cook or are interested in helping to meet the needs of members of our congregation when they are most vulnerable, please consider this ministry.
Coffee Hour is an important part of Christ Church’s hospitality ministry. We serve after the 8 am service and the 10 am service. The team for each Sunday includes a host who makes coffee and provides a bite to eat (or hosts—it is fine to pair up with someone) and a dishwasher who runs the dishwashing machine. Hosts serve about once in a 2-month period and dishwashers are on duty about every 1 ½ month. Please know that what you serve does not have to be elaborate. Our goal is to provide a snack, not lunch.
Shawls are available at the East Entrance each Sunday and can be given to anyone in need of comfort in difficult times, such as surgery, bereavement, illness, etc. New members are welcome. If you would like to a part of this ministry to knit/crochet shawls, please contact Joan Hurley at email@example.com.
This Christ Church lunch group meets on the second Tuesday of each month at a different local restaurant. It has been formed for men and women available during the day for lunch. New members are always welcome. Please contact Anita Beardsell if interested at firstname.lastname@example.org.
