Fall Play in the Dirt

Fall Play in the Dirt: Sunday, September 24 at 11am

September 24th  is our Fall clean-up day after the 10 o’clock service, so wear yard work clothes to church and bring a garden tool (marked with your name) or a wheelbarrow. Thanks!

Easter Sunday

Please join us Easter Sunday, April 16. We have two services on Easter Sunday:

8am : Quiet Holy Eucharist with hymns

10am: Festive Holy Eucharist with the Choir and Brass

Good Friday

Please join us on Good Friday, April 7th, at 7 pm at Christ Church.  On this most somber occasion, we recall the day of our Lord’s execution. The Good Friday liturgy includes the Passion Gospel, the Solemn Collects, and the Veneration of the Cross.

Maundy Thursday

Please join us on Maundy Thursday, April 6th, at 7 pm at Christ Church. As we remember Jesus’s mandate to break the bread and drink the cup together, we remember his life, death, and resurrection.

Palm Sunday

On this first day of Holy Week, Christ Church will Welcome our new rector, The Rev. Dr. Michelle Boomgaard, for The Liturgy of the Palms. We will begin in the Narthex for a brief Liturgy of the Palms and procession into the church.

Christ Church Food Pantry

Christ Church drive-thru Food Pantry is open on the third Wednesday of each month. The next Food Pantry is on Wednesday, September 15th, from 11 am to 2 pm. It takes many hands to operate the pantry. If you’re interested in volunteering, please contact either Ann Chitkara at ann@nullnova.pcc.com or Anne Randolph at annejrand@nullaol.com to volunteer.

25th Annual Empty Bowls

The 25th Annual Wittenberg University Empty Bowls is in the Central Dining Room, Student Center on Wittenberg University Campus. The bowls are $15.00 which includes a humble meal of soup and bread. All proceeds go to the Second Harvest Food Bank.

Day of Change

Day of Change-November 5th, 2023

Day of Change – as our clocks “fall back” in the wee hours, that morning, we will collect loose change (bills gladly accepted, too!) to support our Christ Church Food Pantry. Use your change to make a change in the lives of hungry Springfielders. Baskets will be passed at each service for this offering. If you are unable to attend the service, feel free to drop off your change to the Parish office! Just contact Kelly Zeller at zellerk0611@nullgmail.com.
